York Angel Investors group chooses Startup Visa Services as their exclusive partner for vetting of applicants looking to gain a letter of support.
Are you looking to get funding for your startup? York Angels provides smart money, mentorship and is a designated organization by IRCC for the purposes of vetting and investing into international startups. Designated organizations are business groups that are approved to invest in or support possible start-ups through the Start-up Visa Program. If an organization chooses to support your business idea, it will issue you a Letter of Support.
Upon applying at York Angel Investors website, all of the applicants and submissions are exclusively vetted by our team at Startup Visa Services (SVS). We (SVS) will review your admissibility to the program (not immigration admissibility) that includes a solid business idea, stages of your business, and financial health of your business. If we find that your business is a good candidate for the Angel path, we will advance you to the next stages of vetting that can land you the minimum of $75,000 Canadian dollars towards your venture. There is no maximum of what York Angels may choose to offer you as an investment, but the CAD$75,000 is a minimum that is set by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that you must secure from an Angel group.
If you don’t end up securing a financial investment from York Angel Investors group, you may chose a path through a designated business incubator, but you must be accepted in a Canadian business incubator program first. Once you receive your letter of support, the organization will also send a commitment certificate directly to IRCC. Then IRCC will use both your letter of support and the organization’s commitment certificate to assess your application for the purposes of granting you a PR under Startup Visa Canada path.
