Before you can apply for Permanent Residency Status under the Startup Visa Program, immigrant entrepreneurs need a minimum investment commitment of $200,000 from a designated Venture Capitalist or $75,000 from a designated Canadian Angel Investor Group.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) worked closely with the Canada’s Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA) and the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO), to identify and approve a list of Venture Capital Funds and Angel Investor Groups that met an established set of criteria. You can find the current list of the venture capital funds and angel investor groups that have been approved to participate in the Start-Up Visa Program here.
